Classic Tiramisu

Recipe with and without eggs 

(Bonus healthy recipe)



Tiramisu is orginally an Italian recipe. It is primarily made of mascarpone cheese, eggs, ladyfingers (biscotten biscuits) and espresso coffee. For those who don´t want to eat it with eggs can use the recipe without eggs. Both recipe are equally flavorful and irresistible. It is a non-bake recipe and therefore no oven is needed at all. Just whip the cream together and layer it with the coffee dipped ladyfingers and refrigerate for atleast four hours before serving. For those who don´t like the coffee flavor, can substitute the coffee with hot chocolate. At last sprinkle some cocoa powder on top and enjoy the delicious Tiramisu. 


Classic Tiramisu

You will need:
  •  60 Biscotten Biscuits (Ladyfingers)
  • 500g Marcarpone 
  • 2 Eggs 
  • 100g Icing Sugar
  • 125ml Coffee (substitute: Hot Chocolate)
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder 

Recipe: 
  1. First seperate the egg whites from the yolks and beat the egg white seperately until stiff.
  2. Then beat the egg yolks with the icing sugar in a different bowl. 
  3. Now add the mascarpone into the egg yolk mixture with a mixer. 
  4. Carefully and slowly mix in the STIFF egg whites into the mascarpone mixture and keep aside.
  5. In a deep bowl prepare the coffee and keep aside as well.
  6. Now take a glas dish and start dipping each ladyfinger into the prepared coffee and layer it into the glas bowl. Cover the first layer with the coffee dipped ladyfingers completely. 
  7. Then comes the second layer with the prepared mascarpone mixture. Cover the second layer with the cream and repeat the process. (3rd layer with the ladyfingers and 4th with the cream)
  8. Sprinkle some cocoa powder on top and refridgerate for atleast 4 hours. 


Tiramisu without eggs

You will need: 
  • 70 Biscotten Biscuits (Ladyfingers)
  • 500g Marcarpone 
  • 200g  Curd cheese/Quark (Labneh) 
  • 100g Icing Sugar
  • 125ml Coffee  (substitute: Hot Chocolate)
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder 
Recipe: 
  1. In a bowl beat together the marcarpone with the curd cheese and the icing sugar and keep aside.
  2. In a deep bowl prepare the coffee and keep aside as well.
  3. Now take a glas dish and start dipping each ladyfinger into the prepared coffee and layer it into the glas bowl. Cover the first layer with the coffee dipped ladyfingers completely. 
  4. Then comes the second layer with the prepared mascarpone mixture. Cover the second layer with the cream and repeat the process. (3rd layer with the ladyfingers and 4th with the cream)
  5. Sprinkle some cocoa powder on top and refridgerate for atleast 4 hours. 


Healthy Tiramisu 

You will need: 
  • 50 Wholewheat Biscotten Biscuits (Ladyfingers)
  • 500g Curd cheese/Quark (Labneh) LOW-FAT
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 80g Icing Sugar
  • 125ml Coffee  (substitute: Hot Chocolate)
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder (bitter-sweet)
Recipe: 
  1. In a bowl beat together the Quark with the icing sugar and lemon zest and keep aside.
  2. In a deep bowl prepare the coffee and keep aside as well.
  3. Now take a glas dish and start dipping each ladyfinger into the prepared coffee and layer it into the glas bowl. Cover the first layer with the coffee dipped ladyfingers completely. 
  4. Then comes the second layer with the prepared mascarpone mixture. Cover the second layer with the cream and repeat the process. (3rd layer with the ladyfingers and 4th with the cream)
  5. Sprinkle some cocoa powder on top and refridgerate for atleast 4 hours.
